Pros: Very good customer support.
Cons: No web, no regional plan, horrible phones
The Bottom Line: Great service, poor product. Too bad :-(

US Cellular is a first class company operating a second class network, with third class equipment.
Go into a US Cellular store and you're greeted by knowledgeable, well trained and polite csr's. Unfortunately their network is not quite up to today's standards for coverage and technology. No web, no e-mail, no 1 rate regional plans, spotty coverage, TDMA, as oposed to CDMA, and pushing the worst equipment (Nokia) off on the public. Their network for proper roaming costs requires tri-mode TDMA equipment, and they unfortunately have gotten in bed with Nokia, and to a lesser extent Ericsson. For whatever reason Motorola's Star Tac or other products from LG, AudioVox, Kyocera, etc. are impossible to get. WHY? The other products Nokia/Ericsson while more stylish are JUNK pure and simple. It's unfortunate they can't bring their quality csr's to Verizon Wireless. Good service and good phone csr's but awful in person. (not knowledgable)
