Doc,

Nicholson was great in this movie, but throughout the whole thing I kept wondering what it would have been like if James Garner played the role instead. He is sooo good at reacting, but unfortunately I don't think he draws in the box office as well as Nicholson.

However, with Nicholson's counterculture image, this one must of been a challenge to him. (I heard As Good as it Gets was his biggest.)

The lists are fun, but very hard! I'm always leaving something off so I have to come rearrange.. ugh.

Working on Best of the 90s right now and trying to do an entire decade is the worst! I know damn well I'm forgetting something very important. LOL

I haven't seen all of the movies you mentioned, but I did like most of the ones that I have seen that you talked about. May have to take time for some others..sometime. I feel like I already have a huge backlog of stuff to review..several in draft, notes on others. I haven't reviewed that many DVDs in my own collection yet either, and there are a lot I want to do. It took me almost a year to get one of extended version of Fellowship of the Ring done.
I haven't attempted one of these lists yet. May someday. :)

... for the next movie list.

I wanted to see the Count of Monte Cristo and never got the chance. I'm glad it was a good flick by your standards. I definitely have to make time for it when I can. I love those hell-bent revenge-don't-diss-me-like-that-again flicks.

And I feel the same way about Tom Cruise as well. The Bij and I only saw Minority Report because that guy who directed E.T. made it. LOL

just wanted you to know I love your new picture. We had a cat that looked like that and ended up just like that after my husband swept him off the table. The poor things was hungry. LOL!

LOL I know what ya mean Pat.. I have soooo many in draft mode, and haven't even begun to touch my DVD collection yet on full reviews...

I love doing the lists, but it always seems that after I post I find something I've left off. ARGH. LOL

I will catch up on my "Best Of" and "Worst Of" lists. I'm just a victim of the "So many Epinions, so little time" syndrome. Thanks for sharing!
Sincerely, Pat

I didn't see about four movies on your list but I agree with the rest except About Schmidt. I'm sure this story about a very droll, boring schmuck fits a lot of our citizenry but why make a movie about em.

Unfortunately, I didn't really know much about the story and I was expecting something like the warm charming (the story not Jack, he was droll here to) As Good AS it Gets, so it bought the damn thing instead of renting it.
