I am very fond of The Simpsons, watching it grow from shorts during the Tracy Ullman Show in the late 80's, to the full half hour masterpiece it is today. Matt Groening created a cartoon family that everyone was able to identify with. It amazes me that a cartoon could be so entertaining. It is a cartoon! Yet you tune in every week to see what your favorite animated family will be doing.

It has made so many bold statements and references over the years. It has managed to entertain my entire family from my Father and Mother to my own Husband and Children over the last 12 years it has been on t.v. To me any cartoon that has had over 269 episodes, 33 Emmy nominations and 15 Emmy awards speaks for itself.
