I have gone back and forth between trying different face washes for years. I have tried other Neutrogena washes, along with Clean & Clear, Noxema, and many other popular brands. Most of them work at least decently at first, but this one has it all.
This face wash does not dry out my skin, but it clears up any acne that I may have within a day or two. It reduces the size and redness of my pimples within a day. I have very sensitive skin, so I have to be careful with what I put on my face. It controls the oil without causing my skin to itch and flake like most cleansers do. It reduces the sight of the blackheads on my nose, although it does not completely get rid of them. I still have my occasional pimples, but there are significantly less, they are less severe, and don't last as long.
I have also gotten my boyfriend to use it, who has moderate/severe acne, and his skin has cleared up significantly. He had previously been using prescription face wash that he was given to by his doctor, but did not like it because he didn't believe it was working. I have tried it as well, and even though it worked, I could only use it once in a while because it destroyed my skin moisture-wise. The only thing that keeps him using it is the fact that it makes his skin tingle, so it actually feels like it's working. I have to admit the tingle is nice.
It seems to work the best when you let it sit on your skin a little while in the shower while you do something else, that way it's working as a mask and soaking into your skin and disolving dirt and oil.
