Just wanted to say I admire this writing. Had I been in the same situation I'd have probably gone up to him there and then and done something,
Violent. Then I would get into trouble. I really hope the old lady was warned before anything happened.

I just found this, so sorry for being late to respond....

Sex Offenders in quite a few jurisdictions are required to inform their neighbors when they move in, and certainly anyone they are in contact with regularly. Call the authorities. They can insure that the mother of that little girl is informed of his past.

And yes, I agree with Tely and the others. They should just be freakin tortured to death upon first offense.

Hi there! I agree with you wholeheartedly. The sexual offenders' list only works if people read it and I think we generally don't think to look it up or to see if we know anybody, etc. We're also a society in denial and I'm sure that old lady with Mr. H. would be prompted to say "Oh, he'd never do that" if asked. Why else would she expose her grandaughter or whoever that little girl was to him?

I think they should have to be labeled for the whole world to see.

Thanks, too, for your warm wishes! I'm getting there and it's terrifying! ARGH! I'm too young! (I know I'm going to be 32 in November .... BUT I'M TOO YOUNG!!!) :)

Actually you bring up an alternative here. Maybe getting them fixed would teach them a lesson. It does make male dogs a little less aggressive.

This is so sad.

I could go off on a rant, as this issue pisses me off to no end. Unfortunately I only have time for a mini rant.

This hits home for more reason than one. It upsets me that this freak (or any child molesting f*ck) is even allowed to breath our air. They have no idea what it is they do to a child once last...forever.

Thinking of this little "flower" having her innocence stolen from her just makes me cringe. It is sad that there isn't much you can do. I know!!!! Maybe they could brand them! On the face! So everyone would know.

O.k so it was a thought?

Funny though, you are such a wonderful writer, amazing how such a horrible thing can be written so eloquently. Nice seeing you around again.

Hope you are feeling well. Wow 37 weeks! You'll get to see your sweet little baby soon. Lot's of luck with everything.

Hi there. Actually, I think your beliefs are more popular than you would think. Even in prisons, pedophiles are the lowest of the low (and we saw that this week with the priest in Boston).

Actually, the sicko's hygiene was when I worked with him in a restaurant 14 years ago; I have no idea where he works now. All I know is he is registered with the police department as a sex offender and they can't do anything about him simply walking down the street with a child and another adult. I just felt SICK.

Thanks for reading and hope you have a great day!

I agree. But I think ONE time offenders should be locked away forever. Robbing a bank when you're twenty might be a mistake, and one that can be rehabilitated. People grow and people change. But someone with this disgusting compulsion? I don't see how that can be fixed or how anyone thinks that once is a mistake or that it won't happen again just because someone saw the inside of a jail cell.

Thanks for reading and thanks for writing, Mr. K! I hope you guys are doing well!

What she said: tell any and all authorities who may have jurisdiction. Nothing else is likely to stop him.

I know this comment isn't going to be popular, but I personally believe that all pedophiles/molesters ought to shot on sight. There is no cure for them, and the pain they cause is far-reaching and in all likihood, permanent. Is Megan's Law a statute in your area? If so, the authorities should be notified, and certainly let the management of the restuarant he works in know that if he doesn't shape up in his hygiene, you won't be patronizing them again. Please, vent -- secrecy only protects these vermin and allows them to go on with their crimes. -- Telynor

vent all you want. It certainly is a poignant issue in today's world. What should be done about personally I think 2 time offenders should be locked away for ever.

Thanks for sharing.
