Pop Up Ads............ yes they can get very annoying. Might even slow down the connection. But we should remember, that there is nothing free in the Internet.... nothing!!
At least PalTalk does not place spybugs on your computer, like some other programs of similar kind.

I prefer visuable ads, even if annoying, than some spyware on my computer....

Some software that uses spy or adware include in their license agreement, a general prohibition against modifying the software, or the prohibition against usage of the software without those 'bots'. But people never read those license agreements....

And remember: the best way to remove ads is to pay the shareware fee!

Thx for an interesting review!

Only a few things need some "correction":

VOICE CHAT = breaking voices:

yep this happens from time to time and depends of course on ones connection, sometimes even on resources. But.... this problem gets solved by using SETUP - Sound control - and activating certain boxes there (1 3 5 6). This always helps, one only has to know :-)) .........
This leads me to OTHERS and eMailing to PalTalk-Support.... this sure won`t help much as PalTalk has specific Help-lobbies with official Palsupport online to your assistance if needed. These help rooms (4 of them) are open 24 hours a day, and if any PalTalk-probs, one gets help for sure.

Besides loading and using a lot of space: well, make sure your received file folder (the one you place received files from file transfer) gets emptied regularly, and place the content somewhere else as otherwise it will always load when starting paltalk. Also if done updates to newer builds delete older versions (at least I do it). If still a prob get a RAM-defrag program, some free and good ones around in the net.

At least on my computers PalTalk is not using more space than my firewall (ZA), actually less.

have fun
