Beyond The Highland Mist is a time travel romance. It is set in Scotland in the year 1513 and the present day. I love time travel type books for their fun and this one is that and more. The hero, is Sidheach James Lyon Douglas also known as the Hawk. He has the women falling all over him. His best friend makes a wish upon a falling star, that he meet his match in a woman who can say no to him.
There are fairy that like to meddle. The Queen of the fairies. The antagonist, the Fool, known as Adam Black. He is the most powerful fairy other than the Queen herself. He is determined to destroy Hawk. You can't help but dislike the Fool.
The heroine is Adrienne de Simone. She lives in the present day. She has a terrible secret in her past. She is the strong type and stands by her convictions which is why she is picked for the time travel.
You will find yourself wanting to finish this book the same day you pick it up. If you like time travel you will certainly love this one. Once I started I couldn't stop reading. It keeps you wanting to know what's next and hoping that things will work for Adrienne and Hawk.
I don't want to tell you to much and spoil your fun but this book is worth reading. It's one that you will even read again!
