What the verdict? (Reply to this comment)

So, after 3 years, is your Roomba Sage For Pets still working? Have you upgraded to a newer version? The reason I ask is because I just won one on eBay for a small amount to learn about this robot thing.
Thanks-

No actual mapping (Reply to this comment)
by spiffykyle
Just a correction to your review. The Roomba software doesn't actually map the room. It has algorithms to recognize when it is against a wall and will run along the wall to clean it. Otherwise it uses a random angle algorithm to randomly roam about the room. It eventually covers everything at least once and most spots multiple times. However, there is no "mapping" of the room involved, its all random.
P.S. I love my roomba sage for pets.

Mr. Potato Head,
It's easy to catch and "pause" mid-cycle.
Shockingly, the plant is still alive. I've been given beautiful pointsettias every single Christmas by my Pop-Pop (who is now 91) but I have managed to kill them all except for this one. It sounds creepy but I would be very pleased to keep this one alive... at least until next Christmas when Pop-Pop can give me another one.

Fun Fun Fun (Reply to this comment)

Sounds like a fun appliance and the fact that it acutally works is a bonus.
Is it hard to catch while it's moving?
Is your poinsettia plant still alive?
Ours is still going.

I liked your review. I'm more interested in this gizmo now. Of course, our 4 cats and cocker spaniel might have a few choice words about it.
