Heller products (Reply to this comment)

This is a good beer for the $. But don't pick it up by that strap on the top, it's not made for carrying. It's no Pilsner Urquell, but nice if you don't like a lot of hop flavor. New in the Chicago area is another Heller product that might be of interest to those who don't want or can't have a lot of carbs...Rheinbecker Extra with only 2.5 grams of carbs for 11.2 oz (330 ml). With out a doubt the best of the low carb beer choices. Amstel (5g./12oz.)is a sorry second, and those American malt based alcohol drinks with a trace of hops only pretend to be beer. I paid $US4.99/6 pack, another Heller a bargain.

Wow!!! What a Beer.... (Reply to this comment)

I've enjoyed quite a variety of beers in my life. These days, Hoegardden and Paulaner have been my mainstays. Tonight I tried a new one at a local Georgia Tech Pub called Heller and I've got to say it is a great beer. Me and my buddies put away quite a few of these 16.9 oz beers and I've got to say it was one of the best tasting, most drinkable beers I've ever had. Not to mention the price on these beauties was an extraordinary value. I can't wait to get me a bunch of this stuff next time I'm able to find it. Thanks Heller for making such a great beer at a great price.

Why eschew cans? (Reply to this comment)
by davidmanning
Besides the obvious, that most good beer is not available in cans. If presented with Craft Beer X in cans or bottles, would you choose bottles over cans?
I wouldn't worry about the shelf life of a lightly-hopped canned beer, if Sherlock's keeps them from excessive heat. Bottles will eventually oxidize (caps aren't airtight, like a can), and even brown bottles eventually will skunk if left in direct light too long.

.....that is a pretty good price for a six pack...and, with larger cans too, not bad.
