It must be... (Reply to this comment)

...some kind of epidemic. My boyfriend introduced me to Sandman as well. Shhh, don't tell, but I really married him for his comic book collection. Great review. I've always been fond of Delirium myself, but I think my favorite arc is "World's End." I never get tired of the story within a story within a story format.

I absolutely love love love Michael Zulli's art for The Wake. It absolutely blows me away every time I see it. SO gorgeus! The Death mini-series are another favorite of mine, too - though I prefer Time of Your Life.
Thanks for the comment!

Great job.
I've heard of Gaiman's Sandman works, but I haven't started reading them yet. I know that once I get started, I'm not gonna stop until I finish them ALL! (Besides, I too busy reading, and re-reading David Mack's Kabuki publications. ::grin:: )

"The Kindly Ones" ?! is my introduction (Reply to this comment)

Ever since I found the connection between Tori Amos and Neil....well, that and a quote I found online one day from The Kindly Ones (which could be wrong, I have a crap memory LOL), I've been hooked! I want to get the entire collection, but I know that's going to take some time.
Rumour has it that Delirium was fashioned after Tori. :)

Excellent review! Also, if it weren't for you writing this, I never would have known these books were in Epinions. My faves are The Wake and Death: The High Cost of Living. I heard a movie of the latter is in the making. I'm excited!
