I was in the market for a new car and spent a pretty fair amount of time researching what I wanted and needed. Looked at epinions ratings of different cars, different auto sites, and such and finally decided on a Ford Focus.
I had done a lot of research on the internet thus far and thought I'd give Autobytel a try. Submitted all my information to them and received an e-mail within an hour from Autobytel telling me I'd be contacted by a local dealer, who they named.
The next morning at about 8:00 am, I got a canned email from the local dealer saying I'd be emailed more information and a low "Autobytel only" price shortly....
That was over a week ago. Never heard anything further from either Autobytel or the dealer. I finally bought one from another local dealer who faxed me a great quote.
As far as I am concerned, I gave Autobytel my personal information for naught. It was a complete waste of my time. I certainly cannot recommend Autobytel.
