We women need some time to ourselves, away from the guys, don't you think? A little girl talk and gossip is always fun. That's why I just had to invite one of my favorite gals, Lori, (oh, yea, baby, you know her best as... DrDevience!!) out for a drink in Vodkaboys' "Invite an Epinionator for a Drink Write-Off". She's been out with a couple of the guys already, Vodkaboy himself, and Hugh_u_Kidden and I just thought she'd enjoy a change of pace. I'm so tickled she accepted... I'm so very glad you decided to join me, girl. I can't believe I'm here with DrDevience herself!! You and I both know all about this little ol’ write-off now, don’t we? I think it’s about time we got together to share some war stories and tip the ol ’ bottle. You got anyplace special in mind that we could go? And what are we gonna get sloshed with? Oh where don't matter. Let's have some kaluah and creams. Ashok got me sloshed on those Saturday night, the cad! I saw his pic from the party the other night...he's a cutie! So, girl, I’m just itching to ask you a few things. Do you mind? Ask all ya want! No guarantee of answers though. heh. You’re a Gemini, right? (Hey, Baby, what’s your sign?....hehehe) Do you read your horoscope every day? Or is that something you find silly? I look at it when it's laying around for chuckles. I do think there may be something to it overall, but you won't find it in the newspaper. I do know that most books I've read nail me to a tee in the Gemini section.... You’ve mentioned a horse before....one you had as a young teen. Growing up I thought it would be so cool to have a horse. Can you tell me what that was like? Had quite a few horses through my life. I would love to have one now but there's just nowhere to ride it around here, and if the truth be told, I'm getting too rickety to get up at 6am every day to take care of one anyway. heh There is just nothing like a horse though. No matter what mood I was ever in, I would go saddle up and just ride. Soon everything would be right with the world and I'd be centered again. I miss it. Besides, I love the outfits. *grin* I read that you lived in Dallas for some time. So I’ve gotta ask the typical non-Texan-resident stupid question. Who really shot JR? Ok, ok, ok, stop hitting me!! Here’s the real question....Do you still miss Dallas? I know you said once that you did. I killed JR, but don't tell anyone! I did live in Dallas for spell, and I miss aspects of it..but the place I miss most is Austin. Lots of wide open spaces around Austin still, and it's kinda central to quite a bit of what I love about Texas... like the River Walk in San Anton, the Amusement Parks, lots of horse ranches, the people... *sigh* And speaking of growing up, do you mind if I ask about your family? Where you more the “black sheep” or the “daddys’ little darling” type kid? Black sheep.... and daddy's girl. My childhood is complicated and really..it isn't something I'm in the mood to get into at the moment. heh. I've cut all ties with them. My brother is the only one I've seen in over 8 years now and I plan to keep it that way. Bless your heart. From some of the things that you’ve written, I can tell that you and I share the same feelings as far as parenting. Have you always felt so strongly, or is this an attitude that has developed as the years have gone by? I always felt that way, but I'm getting more and more vocal about it as years go by. I get so sick of people wanting to duck responsibility. They refuse to parent their kids so they call for laws to do it for them. I just want to scream. Hey, girl, we’re both smokers. I refuse to go into a restaurant that doesn’t provide a smoking section. Do you feel the same way, or are you a more casual smoker? Yup! Me either. They stop smoking sections, I stop going there. I really wanted to move to Florida, no way now. NY pissed me off too.. they can't even smoke in the bars up there! That's just messed up. Everyone wants to spout stats, but they don't bother to really look them up and pay attention to them... they just repeat the retoric. 66% of smokers never even get cancer... how the hell can they say smoking causes cancer? People are fricken sheep. Amen to that. While we’re somewhat on the subject of food, you say you love potato.....make that taters....in any way shape or form. So, alrighty then, let’s pretend that I’m handing you a potato....make that tater.....and I want to you prepare it in your absolute favorite way. What would you do with your.... tater? Hmmm I have to mash em. Yep. That's the ticket. There's times when that's all I eat, big ol' bowl of mashed taters! I’ve read your reviews on the Sims. Sounds like you enjoy them a lot. Since I’ve never tried them out (I‘m a virgin!.....oh, stop laughing), can you give me some great advice on how to get started? You know, like, the best one to try as a Beginner? Well.. you have to start with the original Sims game,the rest are just add-ons to that and won't work without the first one. heh It's addicting, that's for sure! Speaking of reviews, I saw the pictures from the Meet-n-Greet. You were trying to plaster those lips of yours on Niravs’ cheeks. So, tell me girl....do you like to flirt? Hey man. I know it's cool to hate Nirav and bad mouth him, and I know he pulled some crap back in the day, but I like the guy. He was fun and very open. Hell, the whole staff was just awesome. And yeah, I love to flirt! What do find attractive in a guy? Confidence is A- number one. I don't have the time nor the desire to baby some male's ego. I like my ment to BE men, damn it! None of this women's lib crap of sensitivity and crying and ewwww. No. huh uh. Be decisive, yet open to other views. Know yourself. Be spontaneous. Enjoy life. You're so right. Ok, let’s say that there’s absolutely no chance that Nick could ever find out....So tell me, would you ever have an affair? No way. That's just weak. If you have a desire for an affair, then it's time to leave... or do some serious re-thinking on priorities. Own up to your feelings and have the spine to be honest with yourself. And this thing about kilts....do they really turn you on? I know I peeked under one of them once and saw a blue ribbon....I knew I’d found a winner!...Nyuck, nyuck, nyuck!! Yeah they do! Real men wear kilts! HUZZAH! Why is two fold I think... one, it's takes a very confident man to take the teasing from other men about wearing a skirt. Two, it reminds of a time when men truely were men... and and yeah, there's that whole battle clad aspect too... heh. Well, Lori, this has been a great time. I knew it would be! You got any final thoughts? Yeah I do. I want to urge folks to think. When I read a comment that is iffy, I try to assume they meant it the best-case way until I get evidence otherwise. I see a lot of folks jumping to the worse-case scenario and taking things far too personal without reason. Yea, I've seen that happen. It's a shame. It's sometimes very hard to word things when there are no body language cues to go along with the words.. give people the benefit of the doubt. Most of the time nothing bad was meant at all. You're exactly right, girl. Hey, listen, thanks so much for having a drink with me...you're such a Sweetie. I know we're supposed to ask for a hug, a handshake or a kiss. Hey, Hey, Hey, wait a minute....I wasn't coming on to you! There's no need to grab that armor... What are you doing with that dagger???... And put that sword away... Lori, get control... Moral of story....Never give a Medieval Doc too many Kaluah and creams... There are some absolutely wonderful entries in this Write-Off.
