Hi everyone! Ive been thinking of hosting a write off for a while now. And this is just a test. Read what Ive got to say and if you think you want to be a part of it, leave me a comment or send me an email at loislane05@yahoo.com.

For all you reviewers out there
this challenge is for you! Pick a Midwestern author, contemporary or classic, well known or not, and write a knockout book review that will show people exactly where you come from!
Anyone is welcome to submit in this write off. You dont have to be a Midwesterner, but it does make you extra cool!
Why are you pointing to Midwestern authors?
This semester I am taking a Midwestern Literature class. And instead of letting my epinions reviews fall by the way side, I'm making it a personal challenge to write reviews for each book assigned to read for class. There are 5 novels, one play, and one non-fiction book for this class. Watch me as share my thoughts and opinions on each one! For others, I hope you'll join with me and pick an author of your own.
Besides...
Come on. Take a look! There are some really great Midwestern writers out there. Some of the classics like Hemingway, and Cather are two of my favorites. As for the living...don't forget Toni Morrison. Maybe you've just read a really great book by a local or regional author, or maybe you've been wanting too but haven't had the push to do so. Now is your chance!
Don't worry if your Geography is bad...
I've got a list. Wondering exactly which states are considered Midwestern states? There are 12 of them.
North Dakota (dont laugh, I live here.), South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio
Want to Join In?
This is going to be fun! Come on! Grab a book and join in. A list of those joining the write off will be posted soon. (If I get some takers!) I'll be starting my own reviews soon but they will be going until the semester is over at Christmastime.
Submission dates are October 30th to November 30th. Joiners so far include treeseed, sleeper54, artemis8, aunt bee, jeff_wilder78, ed_grover, goldmoon, jankp, and me...loislane05.
Thanks for reading and keep an eye open for some great midwestern book reviews!
Jen
