There is nothing new on Epinions...
Let me leave this URL for consideration:
http://www.epinions.com/content_3370360964
"The First Great 'Read-this-now!' Comment-Off"
A somewhat dismal effort to accomplish what you are trying to do (I believe) here. I would gladly re-name it in honor of your write-off here and now.
Or my simple inclusion here might garner some eyeballs for all the suggestions that were left there earlier this summer.
Let me know what you think.

Hi, I mean, Hey there...
There is nothing new on Epinions...
I figured this had already probably been done. I didn't know it had been done so recently!
"The First Great 'Read-this-now!' Comment-Off"
A somewhat dismal effort to accomplish what you are trying to do (I believe) here. I would gladly re-name it in honor of your write-off here and now.
Why rename it? Or, that is awfully kind, good man. But I like option 2:
Or my simple inclusion here might garner some eyeballs for all the suggestions that were left there earlier this summer.
I will update this review to send people your way, and hence, in the direction of all those who joined your W/O. In that fashion (drum roll or egg roll please...), the resurrected and re-vanished reviews can once again appear-- and then for a third time, take their rightful place in the Lethe sleep of resting words (to be jostled at random for eternity).
Glad to see I'm following in such illustrious company, a dwarf as it were on the shoulder of a giant. So, won't you ever be adding me to your invisible but visible WOT? Or do I have to do my bear dance while singing an aria from La Traviata, fireworks shooting out of my orifi?
Humbly,
John

hey there again, John...
Thanks for the kind-spirited reply.
Actually, I thought the 'comment-off' would work better than it did. But I think the 'shelf-life' of a single review is days short. Unless you 'promote' the hell out of it, which I did not.
Which is why your 'write-off' should work much better. Because a review w/o is continually 'pumped up' by new entries linking back to the others linking back to the original review or user page.
By 'inclusion here' I meant simply my posting of the URL in your comment thread. Your inclusion of it in the body of review greatly 'exceeded my expectations'!! (Sorry, was recently annual evaluation time at work.)
I see a day when the 'just-in' pages are dry and dusty and empty. As all Epinions readers spend every Epinions moment reading the old stuff here on the site. With no time to write.
The guilt, my gallant sir, shall weigh heavily on your shoulders!
Thanks again for the mention in your review...

Hey again, Tom-
Thanks for the kind-spirited reply.
Don't mention it.
Which is why your 'write-off' should work much better. Because a review w/o is continually 'pumped up' by new entries linking back to the others linking back to the original review or user page.
We'll see if anyone hops on aboard. Thus far, this is no "20 things about me and my poodle."
By 'inclusion here' I meant simply my posting of the URL in your comment thread. Your inclusion of it in the body of review greatly 'exceeded my expectations'!!
It wasn't but a thing. It's anyway the right thing to do, no?
I see a day when the 'just-in' pages are dry and dusty and empty. As all Epinions readers spend every Epinions moment reading the old stuff here on the site. With no time to write.
Is that some time in the spring of 3074?
The guilt, my gallant sir, shall weigh heavily on your shoulders!
I can handle it. I'm Jewish.

trust: this W/O certainly has an appeal for me, but, right now, I don't know which Epinion to include or what to write. So hold off on counting me in.
Of your six suggested ideas for linkage, #5 (because it's the easiest) seems most favorable. I'm not much of an altruist and the appeal hereto be honestis in plugging something written by me.
I'll have to think over the other avenues.

Bill

... lol ... (really!)
Well, damn. You forgot to include a number in the title. That's the problem! (And it's not that you are a user that doesn't know about numbers...)
And that 20-something thing. It's not every day that a user hits the freaking mother lode and then scurries away from the site when the heat gets turned up a little. (Are 'scurry' and 'heat' PC enough?)
Love your stuff John. Even if you do have a wheel on a stick stuck up your a... uhh, stuck in your house. Even if I don't come around enough enough to show it...
Better get busy on mine. I got some self-pimpage to get done! And maybe a few others...

OK, let's see: The 2nd Chance Write Off? That was easy.
And that 20-something thing. It's not every day that a user hits the freaking mother lode and then scurries away from the site when the heat gets turned up a little.
True, so true. And why did that user scurry away after hitting the mother lode? I honestly have only glimpsed innuendo and oblique suggestions well into the aftermath. I missed the bomb.
Love your stuff John. Even if you do have a wheel on a stick stuck up your a... uhh, stuck in your house. Even if I don't come around enough enough to show it...

Hiya, John! I'm definitely going to enter this write-off, but i knew i had to try the Bad Poem method, and you've already set the bar very high. Favorite moments: either the pointless rhyming of "smiles" with "mules", or the way that you clarify "dusty dust-filled attic" to make the meter scan, after clearly establishing that it didn't matter whether the meter scanned or not.
I want to top this, but then i want quite a lot of other things beyond my talents. We'll see.
Off to read your linked piece,

Hey, man, I "penned" this poem in as fast as it took to type. Use the force, and I have no doubt you can sink as abysmally low as I did.
Favorite moments: either the pointless rhyming of "smiles" with "mules", or the way that you clarify "dusty dust-filled attic" to make the meter scan, after clearly establishing that it didn't matter whether the meter scanned or not.
Yay. The pointless "mules" off-rhyme, definitely one of my cherished stinkers.
I want to top this, but then i want quite a lot of other things beyond my talents. We'll see.
I know you can do it. Let go of all your literary ambitions and inhibitions, aim for the spot between cheese and bathos, and doggerel away.
Cheers to you--

Happy Anniversary to you, Happy Anniversary to you, Happy Anniversary dear son/father/sister/brother of mine, Happy Anniversary to you!
There is no deadline to post.
A blessing this, since I have a plethora of other deadlines looming over my head right now, like so many swords of Damocles. In that light, look for my entry sometime around next June.
Your mules always make me smile.

Sr. Stone-
Happy Anniversary dear son/father/sister/brother of mine, Happy Anniversary to you!
That's a first. (And hey, when did "sister" ever get thrown into our heady mix?!)
In that light, look for my entry sometime around next June.
Oh, come now. How tough is this write-off? Pick a review you want temporarily revived, give it some clothing (here's hoping it's the Bad Poem), and throw it out on da street. People will love you. (More.)
Your mules always make me smile.
Likewise.
But don't let those swords of Damocles slice you (a la Kill Bill)... I'd rather a June entry than an early November one, sans a limb or two.

Hi JB!
Sorry to be so tardy getting here - I plead World Cycling Championship euphoria (it was so cool). But I'm still catching up, thus my tardiness. I will most definitely participate in this fine w/o - and like Mike, I'm glad there's no deadline (though I think I can do better than next June). I think I'll choose the bad poetry format - but I like to work at mine to get it as bad and groan worthy as possible. I'll let you know what I come up with................:)
