You can get amazing deals on high quality outdoor gear, clothing, shoes and housewares at this website. Recently, I received an email giving an additional 30% off already reduced shoes. I clicked to the Merrell department and bought $90.00 shoes for $40.00 and a pair of $65.00 for $27.00.
THE SITE
Sierra Trading Post is a site that sells outdoor gear, clothing, shoes, pet gear and home decor items. The site is easy to navigate and has clearly marked categories and sub-categories to help you through your shopping experience. They accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. They also offer their own Visa Rewards card. They are BBB and BizRate certified.
SHOPPING
This site sells overstocks, closeouts and seconds. They do denote closeouts, overstocks and 2nds at the beginning of the item description. You know what you're buying and I like their honesty and integrity.
SELECTION
The enormous selection of merchandise is somewhat limited, as they are selling closeouts, overstocks and seconds. But if you are looking for one of the items they list, you would be hard pressed to find a lower price on the internet. I have purchased shoes from this site many times and I love how they list sizes and sometimes colors available, before clicking into item descriptions.
BARGAIN BARN
This is truly the diamond of the website, you get the best deals here. Sierra Trading Post offers many specials via email, and if you get one and combine it with the Bargain Barn prices, it makes the sale a no-brainer.
SHIPPING
Sierra Trading Post does charge reasonably for shipping, but for the amazing price you get your merchandise, without tax, it is well worth the price. My purchases have generally arrived at my home within 3-7 days.
HAPPY RETURNS
I have had the opportunity to have returned a few items. Return stickers are provided by the company and my account was credit on an expedient basis. I didn't have to wait weeks, then get charged restocking fees or any such nonsense. I filled out the form explaining my return, placed the sticker, on the box and dropped it off at the UPS store. My end of the deal was done.
BOTTOM LINE
This website carries a broad selection of limited items at rock bottom prices. This link is on my laptop list of favorites and I find it worth a persual at least once a week. I love it.
Customer service is 1-800-713-4534. I have been pleasantly greeted by their representatives, who have been very helpful with my questions.
