| aries98's Full Review: Mega Million Slot Machine |
I bought two of the Japanese made Skill Stop Slot machines for my wife on her birthday. We have an 800 sq. ft. game room, with just the spot for them. She loves the slots at our hometown casino, but we rarely have the time to go due to the responsibilities of our young family. I bought these machines through a close out catalog called Heartland America. The machines are shipped FedEx, and come complete with instruction manuals, keys, and 500 tokens. The machines operate on standard house current, just plug it in. The skill levels can be changed for better odds of hitting the jackpot. Manual states that machine cannot be changed to accept quarters, but a little internet searching with provide kits that will change the denominators so that they will. Do this at your own risk, as quarter play will make the machines illegal in most states. Granted you know that you're not going to take home a big wad of cash if you win, but when the machine hits the Jackpot or Bonus rounds, the lights and music are Super Fun! These machines are set up for casino play, so they are LOUD! There are volume controls inside the machine, but even on the lowest setting they could disturb sleeping children if the unit were in a home. Luckily our game room is 40 feet away from our home! When you jackpot, the machine tells you what buttons to push so that you continuously hit, which sets off more bells and whistles, and drops more coins in the tray. The continues until the hopper is empty. Then you open up the machine, reset, dump the tokens back in the hopper, and your playing again! I'll agree that the machine can get boring, but when our friends and family come over, and they all get to playing, it is so much fun to see how excited they get when they start winning. We keep the machine set on the easiest skill level, so that people usually hit Triple 7's within a half hour of play. We have really enjoyed the machines so far. They are quality built, and designed for commercial use, so they should last forever. We turn ours off when not in use, to make the lights last, but the manual specifically states that this is the only reason that you might want to turn them off.
