For three weeks I posted nothing on epinions. I had a review in progress. Normally, I can do a review in a couple of hours, if my thoughts are freeflowing and I can put my feelings into words. Often, when I have a review in progress, I can bang out other ones and post them, its just one that’ll take me a while. However, for three weeks I worked on this review. I didn’t rush it, I was methodical. I set it out in a way that would help me write it and hopefully be easy for people to read. Why? Because I wasn’t receiving as many VHs as I’d like. I know I can write to that standard, but for some reason it wasn’t happening. I read reviews from people on my WOT who always seem to get VHs, took what I had learnt and applied it in my review. Well, I got my VH. 8 people read my review and all gave it the VH I was looking for. However, no comments. This is the part I like best about epinions. The comments section is brilliant for feedback. Its like the results I’ve been getting at course – I pass all my assignments, but there’s no indication as to why I got those marks. The comments section serves the same purpose: so that other members can let us know what we’re doing right & wrong. Also, the number of people who rated my review is a bit of a concern. For some reviews, I’ve received ratings into the late teens and even 20s giving me a VH, and I feel better about those ones. But 8? Only 8 people found this review and rated it? It must be hidden somewhere fairly obscure. Now, thanks to this WO, I have a chance to drag out that review I slogged my guts out over, and hopefully more people will find it this way. So please, read, rate & comment.
