| sschlundt's Full Review: Graco Cirrus Travel System |
We did a lot of research before deciding which stroller to buy. (Who knew there were so many strollers out there)? After looking at just about every stroller on the market (and there are a lot), we decided on the Graco Cirrus Travel system. And we have been extremely glad we did.
The Graco Cirrus has several pros:
*Cost*
Considering what you get for this stroller, you can't beat it. You get the infant car seat and base. (The base is very easy to install - just put the seatbelt securely through it). Plus you get the stroller also. When you compare prices for a separate car seat and stroller, you're saving a lot of money ($50-$100) by just buying them both together. We bought ours on sale at Target for about $20 cheaper than the retail price, which made it an even better buy.
*Convenient and Durable*
I don't know about you, but I love convenience - especially with a baby. This stroller is very convenient. The car seat comes right out of the base, so I can carry the whole thing - baby and all - right into the stores. The seat fits conveniently on most carts too. It's also nice to have the seat when we take our daughter to the grandparents' houses. The seat offers a nice place for her to take an undisturbed nap. And the car seat fits right on top of the stroller. That way our baby has a nice and cozy place to sit while we take her on walks. (When she's bigger, she'll go right into the stroller).
It folds very easily with the flip of a switch and becomes very compact. So, it is very easy to put into the trunk and take it wherever. Ours has survived many times going in to and out of the trunk.
The wheels on the Graco Cirrus stroller are so big it is durable enough to go right through the grass if necessary. (like an all terrain stroller!) In the few short months we've had our stroller, it has been put to the test! We have taken it many places and it has never let us down.
*Great Features*
One thing we decided was a must when it came to a stroller was the presence of cup holders. The Cirrus has three (one for the child and two for the "pushers" near the handle). This has come in handy many times when we go out for walks and want to take our drinks with us. I'm sure when our daughter gets older and has her own drinks, it will be nice to have a cup holder for her too.
Another great feature is the big netted storage area underneath the stroller. It is big enough to hold our big diaper bag plus any number of items you can put in there. We have found that our stroller becomes the shopping bag on wheels when we take it out. It is easy to throw packages underneath, leaving our hands free.
If I was FORCED to say one con about this travel system, I would have to say it is a bit heavy. I can live with it, though. We looked at some of the lighter models, and they just didn't have the same feel as the Cirrus. I think the heaviness of our stroller is a good thing - it means it's sturdy and will last. This is no wimpy stroller. Our stroller will be around to use for our future kids.
All in all, we are 100% satisfied with this stroller. It has been an excellent vehicle for our daughter, and I'm sure we'll get many more miles out of it in the future.
