Hallowe'en: History and Customs
Hallowe'en is celebrated throughout the world. It originated in the rituals of the Celts of Ireland celebrating a new year, early Roman celebrations of the grain harvest, and the corruption of medieval prayer rituals of christian Europeans.
Today it is celebrated as a 'scary but fun' evening for adult and child alike. Celebrated with 'trick-or-treating', halloween parties, pranks, decorations, and general wanton, reckless, yet playful behavior.
I invite anyone and everyone to join in a Hallowe'en celebration here at Epinions.
Rules (Strong suggestions if you will)

Before Hallowe'en Night October 31
Early submissions are encouraged. Simply to allow time for setting
up links, etc.. If you wish, you could wait until Halloween night or the
following day to read them.
• Subject matter:
Anything you want! Some suggestions:
- A product review of your favorite scary movie.
- How about that scary book you have recently read?
- A Writer's Corner piece about your childhood memories of Halloween.
...or perhaps your family traditions today!
- Your own piece of original 'Halloween' writing in the Writer's Corner.
- That Halloween related CD you remember hearing recently.
- An Eps search for 'halloween' yields over a 1000 hits!
- Anything scary, anything spooky. Let your imagination run wild!

- On-topic would probably be nice.
- Place 'Hallowe'en w/o' or 'Hallowe'en Night W/O' in the title.
