I was a little surprised to see less than 4 stars for Amazon.com. I haven't had any negative experience with Amazon.com for since I started to use them about 7 years ago. I probably use Amazon less than once a month but I continue to come back to them mainly due to 3 reasons.
1) Reasonable price - I do research most of my purchase thoroughly through the Internet including eBay and I only buy items at Amazon.com which I know I am getting good deals. And they do have competitive price on many items.
2) Free shipping - Many of the products (if they are over $25) are available with free shipping. This is huge if you shop on Internet, as most of you know. No sales tax won't hurt either.
3) Trust - This is probably the biggest reason for me. I can trust the Amazon.com and will not get ripped off. I recently bought $300 digital camera from Amazon after researching Internet for about 2 weeks. I found several sites with much less price but found out that those places require customers to call and try to UPSELL accessories. If you refuse to spend enough money, they will cancel your order. I do not have to worry such issue with Amazon.com.
It has been stress free shopping for me.
I did not include this but all the items that I ordered so far, and I have ordered from Amazon well over 20 times, I had one item that was delayed but for a few days. My two recent orders (within the last 30 days), digital camera and a set of DVD's, I received camera as promised and DVD sooner than I was told.
