I honestly don't know. If it rips an uncompressed AVI then yes this should still work, minus DVD2AVI. If it's the same as a digital camera, then you'll need to find a way to uncompress it, Sorenson to Quicktime then Quicktime pro to get the AVI. Other than that, I have no idea, but I know a man who does.

Excellent "how-to" article!

I assume this would also more or less work for ripping raw, realtime, analog, astrovideo-imaging off of a SuperVHS tape once I acquire the right gear?
