| jfrye88's Full Review: Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC H3150 Personal Organizer |
As a Palm Pilot III user for several years I have been waiting to upgrade to a brighter screen and increased MS Office compatibility. Having seen the ads for the new Pocket PC's, I knew this was what I wanted, but I just could not afford the iPaqs with the color screen.
When Compaq started advertising the new monochrome iPaqs, I started investigating and from everything I had seen, it was the same bright white screen as the color ones, just without the color.
Compaq is not following the "truth in advertising" laws with this one. The screen is no where near as bright or white as advertised. It is a dimly lit gray screen, just as my old Palm III is.
If you like the Pocket PC OS and are willing to sacrifice screen quality and a place to store the pen then this may be for you. If you think you are getting a bright white mono-screen, then think again.
