An Epinions Jingle

The Bottom Line If ridiculous rhyme, you don't find sublime,
For jingles abysmal, you need Pepto-Bismol,
If Excedrin’s your nurse for simplistic verse,
Please skip this review; it could make you ....
*ahem* O.K.! You’ve been warned! :D I couldn’t get this verse out of my head, and decided my only hope was to post it!
Though the sentiments are true, ‘tis my rhyme I eschew!
An Epinions Jingle

A ‘Very Helpful’ makes my day,
And when ‘Most Helpful ’comes my way,
I pull my husband to the screen,
To show him why I write these things!
“But wait, there’s more!” I must insist!
He’s yet to see the great comments,
Left by my dear Epinions friends
Who encourage me through thick and thin!
He smiles a bit and pats my hand.
I know that he now understands,
Why I should want to write a lot.
Look! Someone put me on their WOT!
I explain to him how much that means,
Much more than checks that I redeem,
And now they’ve given me a hat!
I have to say, well how ‘bout that?!!
Let not my rhyme dilute my meaning,
It’s hard to say the things I’m feeling.
Please look beneath the verse I used,
As just a verbal subterfuge,
To help me let you know I need,
The reassurance you succeed,
In making me believe each time
I have to know I write a line
Or two that makes you smile a bit,
So I won’t hang it up and quit,
Between those times the publications,
Make me re-write ‘til great frustration,
Attacks my pen and stops its flow,
That’s where you help. You need to know!
‘Cos sometimes when it’s been a while,
Since my words made readers smile,
I think I’ll never write again,
Then I think of you and your comments!
Swiftly I write my next review,
Post it, get coffee and then peruse,
Ratings and comments, WOT and hat,
And I’m back in the saddle, just like that!
So thank you all, for what you’ve done,
I needed my appreciation,
To be known by each of you,
But this is all I knew to do,
Plus, in the future keep my rhymes,
In the files that I’ve assigned,
To drafts unfit for human view,
And try to write some good reviews,
Then leave it at a quick ‘Thank-You’!
