Yeah, except I'm not too sure who owns it - bastards! They're slowly, gradually buying us out - which of course is their prerogative, so long as the product doesn't change.

Don't get me started on Arnott's either!

I adore vegemite and I'm not even australian. Nothing like a nice bit of toast dripping with butter SLATHERED with vegemite (I like mine so think it looks like I'm eating a piece of coal-tar sealed road). Especially when you've got the flu for some reason.

Might interest you to know that vegemite is now an American Owned product. For at least 5 or so years now I think. Sacrilegious isn't it? (don't get me started on Arnotts).

Tom, you're not the only one. Seems like no one can get the taste figured out! Except for us silly Aussies, of course, but then we made the stuff! Cheers,

Well, you're just not going the Aussie way if you fail to include an insult, ya bloody goof ;) I'm glad you didn't hate Vegemite upon first inspection - it's definitely weird but it does grow on you. What else have you tried, if you don't mind my asking?

I tried Vegemite and just could not get used to the stuff, though you are right about peanut butter and jelly...I have got to get back to Australia. Tom Barnes

Vegemite is okay if you do it right, Americans just dont do it right! :p

I'm not saying anything kangaroos or dingoes, but thank you anyway ;) as per the mating rituals, well perhaps I'll get to that later! Cheers,

Yes, you're right, they are rather uptight - dunno whether it's the whole puritan origin or what, things just feel so much more relaxed down here. I'm glad we have at least one Aussie-in-spirit over there - ya bloody idiot!

I'll have some more up soon, but in the meantime, have some patience ya moron!

Vegemite sounds gawd awful! You hit on good points, but what about human mating rituals there and your pets?

Americans are far too uptight. We get very strange looks in grocery stores and restaurants when Nick and I loving refer to each other as "asshole", and reinforce our feelings by whisperings of 'you're such a fucking idiot.'

I swear I'm moving to Australia one day...

really.

I mean it.

Dickhead. I hate these essays. Keep em comin!
