I first heard about Acorn Research, which is now called PineCone Research, from a friend who turned me on to all the survey sites. While being discouraged that I had to find a banner somewhere on the net in order to sign up for PineCone,I just signed up for all the other survey sites and hoped for the best with them.Nothing real has ever emerged from them besides some points, sweepstakes and drawings. From hearing other people talk it sounded like it would take almost a minor miracle to find one of these banners.I just got lucky and ran into one of these ad banners within a month of searching. I have actually ran into three of these banners since joining PineCone.People make it sound so hard but really all you have to do is just keep your eyes and ears open. You will find one sooner or later, they are there.
What is PineCone Reasearch about:
If you go to http://www.pineconeresearch.com/ and click on "about PineCone" and you will see this!!!
PineCone Research is at the forefront of "online research",today's sophisticated and leading-edge approach to gathering consumer opinion.Consumer input is vital to the development of new and improved products.Traditional survey methods, although effective, can be inconvenient and time consuming.Online research helps solve this delimma. With online research, you can answer surveys from the comfort and convenience of your PC and at a time that is convenient for you.
I know that all of the other survey sites have similar statements about themselves, but they just don't make me feel that this is what is happening there. They just don't deliver. You are lucky to get surveys from most of them, but I always receive the one or two a month that PineCone said I would probably be called on for.I even received three surveys in one month once.
I really feel that myself and the other members of PineCone Research have without a doubt impacted the way many many products have been developed. They take your household information and combine it with everyone else's household information to be analyzed. This is to make sure that you get the surveys that you can identify with and answer most effectively. You really feel like your opinion counts.
PineCone Research provides you with an ID and password which you use to log on and go to your current study(survey). If you have any problems with a survey you email them and they will be quick to the help, usually less than a day. Most of the time my check for $5.00 arrives in the mailbox before I even get a email that says I have a survey waiting.
The surveys are mostly around 20 minutes long, give or take a few minutes for the individual. The surveys are also the most interesting that I have encountered so far.PineCone says that they could possibly send out "test products" to some of the members to try out,and then do a survey about on a later date once you are familiarized with the product.I personally have not had this opportunity yet,but anxiously await the time when this will happen.
They put out a news letter with some very interesting articles every month also. They also have some "brain" games available and all of this is located on there site which is very easy to navigate. If you become a member of PineCone you will see what I mean.
I realize a person will not get rich from PineCone Research but every little bit helps out.You will not see the words "drawings" or "sweepstakes" on their pages, just $5.00/survey!!!The money is never late and most of all your household's opinion's are heard loud and clear. If you get the chance to join you should jump at it quickly!!!
Just an added tidbit that may interest some people.I did not mention where I saw the ad banners yesterday when I wrote this opinion.I am 99% sure that the banner that I joined through was at uproar.com,but the others draw a blank in my mind because they were not memorable like it was seeing it for the first time. The reason I have come back so soon for an update is that I also saw, just no more than 20 minutes ago, some people had a link at http://bigbigsavings.com/ to be able to join. This might be a good place to start keeping your eyes peeled at to.This link had already expired when I saw it,but it was there, posted in the reward programs section.I am sure a live link will be there again as soon as one is available.Good luck all!!!
