Let me start out by saying this is an excellent camera for the price you pay. You would pay double the amount for a comparable camera. You can get this camera for around $350. You definitely get more than what you pay for. I was pleasantly surprised with all the features that come with this camera. I'm not going to sit here and bore you with all the features that come with this camera, but I will give you a few that I like.
1. I like the fact that it has a built in digital camera so the you can take snapshots. You can even do this if you are shooting video and you happen to see something that you would like a pic of. Just by the push of a button, you have a snapshot to download to you computer. You can also view your pics as you take them, so if you don't like the pic, you can delete them. You can take 30 pics in Fine mode and 60 pics in Standard mode. This is probably my favorite feature on the camera.
2. It has an amazing 400 times digital zoom. This is really nice if you want to get that close up pic of something that you can't really get that close to. I was recently at the beach and I was filming close-up shots of the kids from my hotel balcony. Great feature also.
3. It has a big 3 inch monitor. You can hold the camera away from your face and still see what you are filming really well. The monitor will tilt around 360 degrees, so you can look at the monitor from any angle. You can even look at the monitor if you are filming yourself.
4. Has a remote control so you can film or take pics without excluding yourself from the pics or film all the time.
5. Uses S-VHS tapes for better picture quality. Is compatible with any type VCR, whether it be S-VHS or just VHS.
That's about enough. I don't want to write a book. This camera is so very easy to use also. Even my teenage daughter can use it with no problems whatsoever. This camera has hundreds of neat little features. I would have to write a book to tell you all of them.
