San Francisco has thousands of restaurants, many of them good. The ethnic ones I write about range in price from $6 to $15 per person for food.

You're right about satay: it's even less Indian...

As for eating out often, perhaps, but I've lived in the Bay Area a long time. At least the various Asian restaurants have plenty of choices for vegetarians.

I also like the samusas and satays (the only obviously Indian dish), Eh? I thought satays were a Malaysian dish, not Indian? I could be wrong..

Whoa dude! You do seem to eat out a lot! Kudos on a very wide-covering review! If I ever go to San Fran I will be printing this out, although what with being vegetarian I will be limited to snorting the smells and pretending whatever I’m eating tastes like what I am smelling…

Cheers,
Renee

I long to go back as it has been almost three years since my last visit. Reading this very interesting write up, leaves me hungry for San Fran and it's great restaurants.

My best,
Deborah~
