Sounds cool but there is NO SUPPORT and customer service is a joke.

I was a stamps.com customer, but no longer (thank goodness!). I terminated my account today because I received some of the WORST customer service I have ever received from ANY company.
I tried to cancel my account because I could not even access my account for more than a month (I had wanted to use the service but was not able to because of this issue). Customer service, who is SUPPOSED to respond within 24 hours did not even acknowledge my REPEATED attempts to get in my account so I could not even use it. The phone service was a joke, I was put on a recorded loop that took me nowhere.
When I wanted to cancel, though, I emailed customer service and was immediately answered and told that I had to do so over the phone. When I tried this I repeatedly got that recorded loop that told me nothing and never real person.
Then, out of the blue, Stamp.com took $31.95 out of my PayPal account for "service fees." This was on an account that I NEVER COULD ACCESS!! When I called and demanded my money back I was suddenly placed with a live person (finally) who had a terrible attitude with me, was rude and basically said I was stupid and not smart enough to read the website (that I NEVER could access).
I find that this type of treatment is absolutely unacceptable. I have closed my account , but have been informed that I will not receive my refund for 6 business days. Now I am out MY MONEY for business days because of the company's inefficiency and extremely poor business practices as well as customer service that is virtually non existent.
Had Stamps.com's customer service responded to me several months ago when I initially contacted them for help, I would not have desired to terminate my account and this would not be happening. I feel that I have been scammed by Stamps.com.
It also should be noted that the "contact us" portion of the site does not say that you have to call to terminate the account. With most online service companies, you must go through you account to terminate the service so it stands to reason that this would be the same way.
Instead, Stamps.com locks you out of our account and refuses to answer repeated requests for help in accessing your account and then they charge you through the nose for it while you are powerless to do anything about it.
This company has been extremely unprofessional from the beginning I could get NO HELP in accessing my account.
This is the worst experience I have ever had with a company and it is the last time that I will do business with Stamps.com. If you are considering this "service" I would urge you to look elsewhere. Licking a stamp is, in he long run much more convenient than going through this scam mill.
All they had to do was reply to my requests for assistance several months ago. This is the worst company with the worst customer service I have ever encountered.
If you get the "free trial" offer, DON'T DO IT!!!! Run from this company as fast as you can.
