Like a Fish Out of Water

The Bottom Line Rarely a bad show. See em if you know what's good for you.
I've finally gotten around to getting off my butt(or, in reality, getting on my butt and writing a review for this show. Let me start off by saying that the last time I saw the Bouncing Souls in Toronto, i was extremely disappointed. However, this time, I was extremely satisfied. I'm talking delicious hamburger satisfied.
One thing that was cool before the show even started was that I got to talk to Greg Attotino, the vocalist, and Michael McDermott, the drummer. I stopped and chatted with them for a few minutes while they were hanging out at their tour truck. With vague threats of death for not telling me if they were going to play East Side Mags and some chit-chat about the blackout, I said goodbye and rejoined my friends.
We entered the venue in the middle of The Forgotten's set. While I'm not familiar with most of their songs (I only know one, and they always close with it), I was still in the pit for what I didn't miss. After The Forgotten left the stage, me and about ten other people had to break up a fight between two punks that started slugging each other for some reason or another.
After waiting through Hot Water Music, which I give not two sh!ts about, and noticing the really cool Bouncing Souls logo silhouette on the wall, finally The Bouncing Souls took the stage.
The Souls opened with a favourite, Hopeless Romantic. They moved on to play That Song, Cracked, No Security, and so many more. Here's what I remember them playing, in no particular order:
No Security
Cracked
East Coast F*ck You!
That Song
Hopeless Romantic
True Believers
Kate is Great
Say Anything
The Ballad of Johnny X
Fight to Live
Chunksong
White Wedding (yes, the Billy Idol song)
I Like Your Mom
They also came back and did three, yes, three encores; Argyle, Here We Go and one of my absolute favourites, Manthem, where everyone jumped on the stage and started dancing, until the big scary security guy from the band DRP kicked us all off.
Considering how poorly The Bouncing Souls played last year, I was really happy with this show. It was one of the more fun ones I've been to in a while, and with the pleasure of talking to Greg and Mike from the band, as well as getting on stage to dance to Manthem, I came out one sweaty, happy guy. My final rating?
Four damaged brains out of five (one brain lost for not playing East Side Mags or Gone
