A Very Nice Time

The Bottom Line Good food, good information, interesting people and a nice, uncrowded, casual ambiance made for a nice time!
I really didn't know what to expect, never having been to a Meet & Greet event, before. The e-mail invitation was pretty sketchy. But, I decided to go because I was curious as to what it was and who would be there.
This event was held at Thirsty Bear, San Francisco. The featured cuisine is Spanish Tappas along with their micro brewery products. My wife and I arrived at about 1:30 PM and were shown to a separate room upstairs equipped with a bar. A long table along one side of the room was a buffet of various finger food - a large platter of grilled vegetables, including eggplant, chicken wings, meat balls, a cheese platter with grapes and crackers, spicy grilled shrimp. Real plates (not paper or plastic), stainless steel forks and napkins were provided.
Beer, wine, Sangria and sodas were available from the bar at no charge.
It was nice to meet other members and to be able to associate a real person to an Epinions I.D. I enjoyed talking to the staff about the evolution of Epinions going back to the beginning.
I was able to thank Nirav, the founder and COO, for the perks and all the good things we experienced in the very early days. Staff members, including Alexis and Garrett were really nice and it was easy to see they were fully dedicated to their work and extremely loyal to Epinions.
By the time we left at 4 PM, the group had grown to about 20 members plus staff.
All in all, it was a very nice time. The people were interesting and intelligent and the food and drink was great and it was all free.
What's not to like?

There was a small group of about 10 Epinions members plus about 1/2 dozen Epinions staff members. My wife and I had a good time chatting with members and staff.
