Good food, good information, interesting people and a nice, uncrowded, casual ambiance made for a nice time!

Alex, we had a really nice time!

I enjoyed our conversation and I am even more appreciative of my "early-times" Epinions Fleed Jacket!

Thanks for hosting such a nice, casual event. As I told you, I like Thirsty Bear.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do for Epinions.

Thank you, Jim, for your account. I have known you mostly through Restaurant Reviews.

It was a pleasure to meet you and your wife, Joyce.

Regards.

Juls,

The pleasure was all ours!

It really was nice to put a real person to the name and the reviews!

You have been so very helpful in the Restaurant Reviews as I was frustrated and did not know that new places could be added as you have so arranged.

Thanks for making it easier for us!

We will keep Bistro Elan in mind. We don't get down that way very often. The last time we did dine down there it was a Piatti's near Stanford. Of all the Piatti's, it was not one of the better ones.

Have you been to Straits? We did, once. Everyone raves about it but I have a feeling we did not know how to order.

Hope to see you again in the future!

And, we wish you a great and joyous Holiday Season!

Jim - what a pleasure to meet you in person and your lovely wife.

If you're ever in Palo Alto, I recommend Bistro Elan for some excellent dining.

Gael,

L.A., obviously, is a major metro area. I have to believe that if they continue with the program, they will hold one down there. It's only a 1 hr. flight from HQ!

If they do come down to L.A. and you can attend, I'm sure you'll like the staff. They were all so very cordial and interesting to talk to.

Tom,

It was a very nice place. Thirsty Bear is fairly well known in the City and it is only 1 block away from the Moscone Convention Center. This is a pretty major deal because of the location so there is nothing cheap or trashy about the place. Speaking of "real China plates," Thirsty Bear is next door to one of the 10 best restaurants in SF, Hawthorne Lane.

Bonnie, besides Garrett, Alexis and Nirav (staff) I was very pleased to meet Megurru and Sweeper. There were others, as well, but I have forgotten their names or I.D.s. Sorry.

They did talk about more Meet & Greet functions but there was no mention of the future locations.

They are trying to do some things in the future for Epinions but they were not able to elaborate further.

What bonnie said!

And 'real plates' is always a sign of an up-scale shin-dig!

Thanks for the opening salvo! I think I will definitely have to try to get to one of these!!

I have been wondering who went to this greet. Do you remember any of the members who were there?

Any hint on where the next greet will be, any talk of holiday planning for the site?

Thanks for sharing.
