The fact that you'd never heard of Jennifer Aniston just blows my mind...You've never heard of a little TV show called Friends? Wow!
Amazed....
Anyway, sounds like fun...wish I could attend one sometime!

The Bear Broth Thickens! (Reply to this comment)

Dear Dave: I must have done little more than shake your hand, but I thank you for your report, and the intelligence that Alexis was leaving the next day for the Middle East on a secret Epinions mission at the behest of DealTime.
I see her, "somewhere East of Suez," seated a cafe, sipping tea with several other Epinions agents (everyone in burkas), waiting for equally disguised representatives of Secretary Rumsfeld to settle American/Epinions control of the Middle East!
Meanwhile, Dave, it was nice to meet you.
It was nice to get together.

Now that I'm an "expert"... (Reply to this comment)

...Oddly, a familiar face I never before associated with Epinions was none other than member Adrienne Foster who works with me in Sunnyvale. I didnt know she was THE Epinions expert on haunted places. I know that shes the co-winner in the Epie Kids photo contest....
Did you want to know that I've been logging phenomena that's occuring at our facility? I don't have much yet, but I expect the list to lengthen.

Next time we'll have to exchange Sunnyvale restaurant suggestions. As a former peninsula resident, I admit to being lost half the time in the South Bay.

I Missed the Meet & Greet In NYC (Reply to this comment)
by colonialpara
and have regretted it every day, especially after reading the reviews of the folks who made it. Dave, from what I read of the NYC event, this one sounds as if it was a little subdued and that surprised me a little.
In any case, I hope you enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to a meet and greet in NYC, Philly or Boston.
Great job,
Paul

The Meet and Greet was a low-key affair and Michael advised me to try to keep it that way.
We were looking for you two CL's to kick up your feet and suggest a round of - strip poker, pin the tail on the Nirav...something :). I'm thinking perhaps Michael was traumatized from ridding his face of hair and that's why he thought it should be kept low key... Kristina :)

I'd say more, but I won't.
Not here, anyway.

..
you had me chuckling to myself several times. especially with this one...
"Hopefully, most of you look better than what Im seeing in my minds eye. I sure do."
And let me get this straight: you worked with Adrienne Foster but never associated this Adrienne with user adriennefoster here at Eps??
Now that is just strange, 'believe-it-or-not' stuff...
A very entertaining, self-deprecating read. I am jealous of all those that have had a chance to attend one of these 'meet-n-greets'.

Sounds like a good mixture of members at this one. Hopefully they will get to Los Angeles in the future and I did know what you meant about these cities.

I thought that Sunnyvale was the capital of Silicon Valley, San José merely the boring "county seat."

I just showed up at the Epinions office last month while in town. I agree highly with what you say about Alexis and Andy. (all I saw was Nirav was on the phone). But all the tech folks I met were great.
Sounds like fun!
