Pros: Energy savings, space savings, continuous hot water on demand, long life, earthquake safe.
Cons: I had one service call during the last eight years.
The Bottom Line: I have no vested interest in Bosch, and other tankless heaters are probably just as good. My main point is tankless technology is the only sensible way to heat water!

| afiore's Full Review: Bosch AquaStar 125B NG Natural Gas Tankless Water ... |
I have used a Bosch Aquastar 125 in my home serving a family of four for more than 8 years. This water heater works like a spa water heater by heating water as it senses water passing through a heating chamber. It is "on" only while the water is flowing. There is no continuous heating of a standing tank containing 40-50 gallons of water, so a considerable amount of energy is saved.
The Aquastar works nearly flawlessly to deliver all the water you need to a bath, shower or appliance, and it never runs out. My spa tubs fills in minutes, and hot water arrives in the same short time as from a tank model.
I placed a small freezer in the space the tank water heater occupied with the tankless heater on the wall behind.
The only problems I had resulted from some original inexpensive mixing valves in the shower. With pressure balanced valves, or even better, thermostatic valves, you will have no problems.
Since I purchased my heater Bosch has even higher capacity models available, but this one is fine for our 3 bedroom, two bath home.
My only con: If you like black and white TV instead of a plasma flat screen then don't buy a tankless water heater.
