Throughout my pregnancy, I shopped at the Motherhood maternity stores in the mall closest to me in Houston, TX. I found great values there and I was satisfied with the quality of the clothing. I am a stay-at-home mom who does not require dressy clothes for the office, and I didn't want to spend a fortune on clothes I would only wear a few months.
Near the end of my pregnancy, I was involved in a serious car accident that placed me on bed-rest for the last few weeks. It also left me without transportation for 3 months. That meant I couldn't go to the store for anything. I learned two things from this. One, my husband can be trusted to buy 5 items or less at the store with a WRITTEN list and CASH limit. Two, online stores are my saving grace in getting the things I need delivered when I don't have a car. (See my review on Groceryworks.com)
Now a nursing mom, and I needed some new clothes. I was tired of unbuttoning and lifting up my shirts every time the baby was hungry. I also felt terribly unfashionable. I remembered the catalog Motherhood Maternity had given me and decided to treat myself to some online shopping.
I went to the main web page www.motherhood.com. In the upper left corner was a logo for Motherhood Nursing. The nursing section has a number of different styles and several charts to explain how the panels worked. I found this to be a valuable tool since I have learned that some panels work better than others for my body style.
There is a size chart that I found very helpful in determining bra sizes (yes this changes when you nurse). Everything I have ordered has fit properly using the size chart. This was important to me since I didn't have the luxury of going and trying things on without a car.
There is also a place for you to order a free catalog. I used my free catalog to circle styles and sizes and give to my husband two weeks before my birthday. (He couldn't go wrong!) Perhaps you have a daughter (daughter-in-law) who is expecting. You might want to order a catalog of nursingwear for her to browse through. My mother bought a top for myself and my sister after the birth of our latest. It made me feel special that she wanted to get something for me too.
The return policy is also clear and easy to find on the site. (Basically 30 days to return for refund). I found the site easy to navigate.
Best of all, when I placed my order, it arrived in less than a week! I rate that as excellent customer service! It was packaged appropriately and had a free catalog inside with the invoice.
