Methods of Torture The Chinese used water. In medieval Britain, they had thumbscrews and the rack. Then, sometime, somewhere, someone came up with the ultimate form of torture. This form of torture was diabolical in its conception, and unthinkable in its objective. It was more soul- destroying, more evil, more brain-damaging, more devious in its design and more potent in its action than anything conceived before it. It is no respecter of men or women, age or appearance, intellect or disposition. It could destroy any or all of them. The name of this detestable debauchary of the soul is:- Filing.
