Even though I don't know a lot of these songs, I enjoyed your analysis of them. If you could go back many years (aboout fifty plus) you might hit some of the songs I know - take that back, I do know some of the Beatle songs like "Yesterday" and some of the blues songs as sung by Billy Holiday. Still, I like your choices.

I love so many of these!

Just Like Jesse James is one of my favorite Cher songs. I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) just gets me going every time, and yes it is connected by my aorta to "Benny & Joon," but I love that too.

Father Figure... God, what a great song, and what a sexy video at the time. Absolutely love this song. And Never Tear Us Apart is just one of many favorites from my boys at INXS. (I was stunned by Michael's death, weren't you? How very sad.)

Anyway, great job, and I can't wait for the next set!

Love ya!

you've undertaken quite the job Tim! It looks like you're doing great so far, but don't forget to include a few country songs. Forever and Ever Amen (Randy Travis), Two Sparrows in a Hurricane (Tanya Tucker), We Danced (Brad Paisley), Strawberry Wine (Deanna Carter), and many others all belong in a top 100 love song list.

Keep up the good work, and Happy Thanksgiving!

yak: Glad that someone else likes "Find Your Way Back" as much as I do; it's a real addiction!

Freak: Thanks so much! I'm surprised how many are digging "Linger", 'cause that was one that was this close to getting booted. But I just could not possibly.

Speed: Yeah, "Don't Lose My Number" is probably the least love-related song on the list; I just think it's neat how the protagonist is offering his support (and love) to this guy, even if it does come across as more of a political statement than anything else.

plorentz: Cant' make any promises, but I dont' really wanna spoil it either, so I'll just have to say HAHA and we'll see.. !

Mom: I wish we could be together too... but that's okay, I will be with Dad :)

clark: Thankya! Beauty in the 90's was pretty sparse, but when it was there, boy was it ever.

Oleg: Don't worry about the disliking Phil Collins, I know a lot of people who don't like him and I can see how someone wouldn't. I'm not sure how much more Elton I got in the mix, I actually don't remember my own list! Ain't it terrible? Anyways, oh yeah and Sting'll be there eventually, somewhere :)

Love y'all,
TB

Well, you definitely definitely rock (even if this isn't a Top 100, sorry, 101 rock songs)!!

Leaves me wondering what's to come..

Anyway, a big hooray to Father Figure, The Proclaimers (yeah, I love this silly song every bit as much as you), Jessie James and I just knew Tonight Tonight was gonna make this top - I was only wondering how high. Not my favorite Corgan masterpiece, but definitely a masterpiece, you're right!!

A big boo for Phil Collins getting this huge a treatment.. can't stand his solo songs ;))) But anyway, this is your top and after all, maybe I'm wrong about him. He should have never, never left Genesis to go and make music like he did. Ok, ok, I'll shut up now ;)

On we go - man, Elton John is the author of some of the best love songs ever, and I'm SO delighted to so far see his songs make every part of your top. I only hope that my favorite his songs will find their place in your forest of dreams too. I guess I was too hard on the man in my Top of the Pops.. should have included more..

No Sting so far? hmmm

Great job dude, can't wait to see the rest of it

..so bring 'em on :)

So glad to see Linger and Tonight Tonight on the list. Two of the most beautiful songs of the 90's. I can't wait to see the rest.

You knew I'd be tickled pink to see a Carpenters song on your list, didn't ya? And a great one, it is!! You've got some great picks here, Hon! You've got me wondering what the next group will bring.

Ok, this is personal now, so if the rest of you guys wanna skip it, I understand.

Tim, tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I just want you to know that I am so very thankful that you are my son. You've brought so much happiness and joy into my life. I love you dearly. Have a great day, Sweetie...I just wish we would could be together for some good eating....maybe next year. ((((Tim))))

...is one of my favorite Phil songs ever, but is it a love song? Ehhhhhhhh...I dunno!!

Good job anyway, and thumbs up for mentioning "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" one of my favorite songs ever even though you need a translator to figure out what the hell they're saying.

Happy Thanksgiving!
