WHAT I ORDERED: Ameda Purely Yours breast pump with carry-all, Mother's Milk Mate storage set.
PRICE: I paid $199.95 for the Ameda Purely Yours breast pump with carryall and storage pack. This was the lowest price I could find at the time (I've since seen one for about $5 less), although I saw several stores who had the Ameda pump at this price. I paid $22.95 for the Mother's Milk Mate storage set, which was a few dollars less than other online stores. Another nice bonus was that my shipping was FREE because my order was over $125.
THE WEBSITE ITSELF: I found The Baby Bungalow through Yahoo! Shopping, so I didn't initially have to navigate the store for the breast pump. However, once I put the breast pump in my shopping cart, I did look around for other breastfeeding accessories, which is when I also selected the Mother's Milk Mate storage system.
The site is pretty basic in design, but easy to navigate. Products are divided into broad categories ("baby gear," "bedtime," etc.) and then each of those categories opens up in to a page of pictures with links. These links just appear in rows with now apparent way of sorting. Some popular brands and products receive their own picture and link (e.g., the Stokke Sleepi, Ugly Dolls) while other links are entire sub-categories of products lumped together (e.g., "Baby Blankets, Pillows, and Sleepsacks"). There is also a link for those who already know what they want - you can shop by brand.
Selection is very good and has some very nice upscale items included. I saw a lot of items normally carried only in boutique stores. Each item comes with a description, about a paragraph or so, although some have longer write-ups.
Check out was very easy. They take all credit cards, including American Express, Discover, and Diner's Club, which I haven't seen before.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: The transaction was extremely smooth. I submitted my order and received a confirmation e-mail within minutes. The next day, I received my UPS tracking number. The package arrived in good condition, well-packed, with all purchased items, and on the day it was promised.
THE MERCHANDISE I RECEIVED: I received the exact models that I asked for and they arrived in perfect condition. My baby has not yet arrived, so I have not had the time to try them myself, but what Baby Bungalow took care of, they took care of beautifully.
CONCLUSION: This was a very good shopping experience. I got exactly what I wanted at a good price and had a very smooth transaction. I would definitely tell a friend to check out Baby Bungalow, especially if they were going to be spending a lot of money.
