I'm sorry you have had such a bad experience with Cedant. It's obvious that your experience has angered you to the point that you can't believe for a moment that others may have a good experience.
No, I do not work for Cedant. I just use them to host my website www.userfriendlydesigns.com.
I did know about the migration to the new servers before they were done because I was emailed with the information. In addition, I received four updates with the status of what happened.
In addition, I received an email telling about their new Technical Support procedures that were put in place. Although I haven't had the need to use it since it was added, I'm glad the company emailed me with the information should I need it.
I did have problems earlier this year with my site, but I contacted Cedant they spent the time needed to help resolve my issues.
I've been perfectly happy with Cedant, in fact I have just recently paid for another year of service.
I'm sorry you've had your problems. But attacking individuals that haven't had those problems is not the way to resolve it. If you are not happy, I recommend finding another web host.
I'm happy and I'm sticking with Cedant.

To all viewers looking for the facts, not an advertisement.
Lets, for a moment, look at one aspect of this review a little closer. Does it look like an advertisement to you (YES) or is it an honest review by someone who has actually used their service (a definite NO).
First let me say one thing. The way I found out about CEDANT's money and internal problems was when I received an mail solicitation from one of their competitors telling me about CEDANT's switch servers & systems. I did not find out about CEDANT switching to a different server or operating system from CEDANT....BUT from another hosting service.
About this review & reviewer. Here is what this reviewer had to say about CEDANT's tech support which they obviously have never had a need to use....yet!
"Technical Support - The one area that I wish I could do without ... however, inevitably I end up having to use it. Unlike some sites, Cedant offers an email address and phone number for support on every page of their site. They don't hide it in hopes that you won't be able to call, instead I get the impression that they do everything necessary to ensure that you have a need for them."
Does this statement about CEDANT's Tech Support tell you anything other than CEDANT has a phone number & email address. Who doesn't have that? You are suppose to, I guess, draw the conclusion that CEDANT's Tech Support actual works because they have phone number listed?? What! The rest of this review on CEDANT is along the same lines. Generalities & half truths.
Here is the TRUTH and not some phony-baloney advertisement about their so-called, wonderful tech support.
The following is from a former user not a CEDANT shill. Try sending an email to CEDANT when there system disappears for days, OR you can't access your web site, OR their CGI system stops working. Just try and get an answer!!
OR try calling CEDANT's Tech Support on the phone. Here is what you get from TECH SUPPORT. First you hear a message that all of their TECH SUPPORT are helping other customers. Sure! Many hosting services use this phony ploy.
No matter what day or time you call CEDANT, you always hear the same message. Next you are immediately redirected to leave a message & they will return your call ( "They never returned my call, ever" ) but the message you hear is that CEDANT's message box for CEDANT's Tech Support is filled...it's filled alright, it's overloaded with hundreds of calls with complaints from other disatisfied customers which they can't & won't answer.
Truthfully. This reviewer sounds like they are either on CEDANT's payroll or is just over-medicated. It's NOT a review of CEDANT but an advertisement for CEDANT. The worst type of review because it is openly, mis-leading.
Anyone who has a real web site and who has had any experience with hosting services like CEDANT in the past know what I'm talking about. This reviewer does not know what they are talking about & basically just copied CEDANT's web site hype about there services. You can go to CEDANT's web site & read the same thing but does it tell you anything about what you really get or what they promise.
If you like no Tech Support, Emails & Phone calls go unanswered, have mystery server problems that last for days, switch servers & systems without telling anyone then you'll love CEDANT.

... price looked very appealing in the earlier epinion, but they listed 10 MB as the space provided. With 50 MB, this is starting to look very good, specially with CGI bin & scripts.

I'm thinking about changing hosts for my site when my contract is up in a couple of months. I'll definitely look further into Cedant, based upon your recommendation.
I'll also take a look at your site, as well.
