I am more than satisfied with my experience with AJ Madison!
On May 4th, after looking locally and choosing a Whirlpool fridge and dishwasher, I decided to look online to see if I could get better prices, and was thoroughly delighted that the price for the fridge that I wanted was $400 less than anywhere locally. The dishwasher was the same price as at Best Buy. Because AJ Madison offered free shipping and NO sales tax (they are in NY, I am in VA), plus about $100 worth of rebates, PLUS being much cheaper than local stores to begin with, it was a no-brainer.
I was a little worried about the negative comments I'd read, but I needn't have been. On May 8th I called to inquire about the status. The cust service rep was courteous and professional, and told me that it was slated to leave the warehouse on May 16th.
On May 14th, I got a call from AJ Madison's shipping service that they would be delivering on Thursday, May 17th, between 8am and noon. I was very surprised that the next evening, May 16th, the drivers called and asked if they could deliver our appliances early. YES!
When they arrived, they helped remove the boxes so we could inspect the items (there were no problems). Since they were a day early, we hadn't moved our old fridge yet -- and they helped us move it into the garage. They then brought the new fridge in and placed it in the desired spot. They were friendly and very nice to our kids (who wanted to "help").
To sum up -- I was thrilled with their prices. Their website was the easiest appliance website I have ever navigated! I think less than 2 weeks for freight shipping is completely reasonable. Their customer service was polite and professional. I will continue to recommend this store everyone I know!!
An update -- It took me forever to actually mail in my rebate (I'm bad at that), however, i received my rebate checks without a problem! Hooray!
