The Bottom Line Before you read this list, beware my friend. Some of these movies are the most idiotic things to ever come out of Hollywood. But I love 'em!

Yes, Slashers. Cheesy? Yes. Gory? Of course. Entertaining? Almost always! Here's my favorite slashers!

10. Child's Play 3

My God was this movie dumb. It was pointless. It was inane. I loved it! This was the third movies in the popular and hated 'Child's Play' series. I watched this a few days a ago and I'm soon going to order the new DVD that was released. There isn't too much gore here, but all of Chucky's potty-mouth comments are attached.

9. Halloween 1 and 2

Alright, 'Halloween' and 'Halloween 2' are kind of the same movie. I mean Holloween 2 picks up right where Halloween ends. The 'Halloween' films are extremely outdated in my opinion. In the 80's, maybe these were scary, but many call these two the best horror movies of all time. I don't consider them horror films, but more of a slasher film. They are very fun to watch on Halloween night, and I've made it a tradition to watch both 'Halloween' and 'Halloween 2' every Halloween.

8. Child's Play 2

Haha. It's a Chucky sequel!! Must I say more?

8. They Live

There is only one reason why you should get this slasher/cult classic. The line: "I have come to kick as$ and chew bubblegum. And I'm all out of bubblegum."

5. A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors

This is widely regarded as the best 'Elm Street' sequel, and I can see why. We get to learn all about Freddy's background, there's plenty of slashing, and we get to see a hot nurse's jugs!

4. Freddy vs. Jason

This movie rules. Yes it's stupid, sure it's idiotic, but I love this movie. There's so much gore that it's just plain silly. This is a silly, silly movie, but it has a lot of action, and I await the DVD. I think once I buy it, Freddy fighting Jason will be burned into my TV screen.

3. A Nightmare on Elm Street

Loved it! I think that Freddy and Chucky are my favorite horror film icons. This movie states the premise of the many Freddy movies to follow. It scared the hell out of me the first time I saw it for the first time as a kid, but now I consider it a slasher of the best kind!

2. Child's Play

I loved Child's Play! So what? I guess the whole deal is, when I was a kid, the thought of your toy doll coming to life was terrifying. Also, as I was a kid, I saw bits an pieces of the 'Child's Play' series, and I was horrified. Now I watch them these days, and I laugh. Pick this up if you're into 80's horror, you will not be disappointed.

Did I also mention I own a Chucky doll?..please don't hit me.

1. 'Evil Dead' 'Evil Dead 2' & 'Army of Darkness'

Slashing? More than ever. Gore? So overdone that It's hilarious. Entertainment factor? VERY high! This is easily my favorite group of slashers. All are cult classics. Bruce Campbell is the best, and you know it!!! Maybe it's not fair to list all these together, but, hey, I love em all. Even if the first 'Evil Dead' was very low-budget, it still entertained me. It's cheesy horror from the 80's at its best.
