Gotcha. I will have to pay closer attention to the drummer. Having been a drummer for many years, I will know if he's good or not. If need be, I'll get back to you on it. :)

MATTYs vs. GRAMMYs - no competition! (Reply to this comment)

Hilarious...much better then the Grammys. Although I disagree on one point (Brody Dalle's voice is better then Courtney's, IMO) you had me laughing through almost the whole thing. My family kept asking what was so funny, but after trying to explain I just got blank stares...hmm.

It's also great to see someone else who isn't sucking up to Coldplay...some of their songs are nice, sure, but they all sound exactly the same.

Happy Holidays!

Nickelback is bland, uninspiring, run of the mill, retread rock for retards (no offense to you)...their lyrics are awful, the drummer (although a tad better on the new one) sucks, their riffs are unimaginative...they are, in effect, a harder rock version of 3 Doors Down

I don't listen to radio. Sometimes, that's unfortunately, as half the time I don't know what's going on in the music world, except for the one I live in. (Which is quite awesome, I must say!)

And here, reading your review, I realize I don't know much about what's out there. The reason for that is, most of what's out there stinks, and I know because I used to listen to radio all the time. I stopped because of the crap, and all the talking in between songs.

But that leaves me not knowing if I agree with you or not. What I would like to know though, is why everyone thinks Nickelback sucks? I have "Silver Side Up," and I like some of it. Granted, they're not the best band in the world, but I'll take them over Creed any day of the week. So what is it that you hate? I sincerely want to know.

Anyway, that's all for now.

Merry Christmas, Matt!!

Almost forgot about that Fred Durst story, that was friggin' hilarious. "Unwell" still won't go away around here. I anxiously await the fourth single if they get to it; there are at least four other songs on there, any one of which would reel in another couple million on the soundscan. Zwan's breakup disappointed me as well.

I never regretted not having cable TV, as long as I got you guys I'm set!

But you forgot Sting again (there where you put Ed Vedder he should be too). Oh well..

Great job again. You rawk.

And - you didn't even mention Britney this time around. A nice touch :)

Shrub caught me totally off-guard, and I'm still cracking up. Like him, hate him, whatever - that was hilarious!

Loved this! I'm in the process of writing up my best and worst too. Thank you (so far) for being kind to some of my people ;).

Okay, I'm still a big fan of "Unwell".... but your assessments were otherwise dead-on, 'specially those about "Headstrong" and the 3 Doors Down tracks. Yikes.

Peace,
Drew

Matt, the MATTY'S kicked some serious ass... Great categories and "winners." I'd rather listen to them than the Grammy's anyday.
