I just purchased this watch as a gift for my wife and it was a huge hit with her. Starting with price, the current MSR on this model is $500. I saw it in an up scale jewelry store today on a 20% off sale making it $400 plus tax. It can be found on the web all day at around $375 and at least one place at $299 and free shipping. That is what I payed for it and it is a major bargain at that price.

The watch is all stainless steel with an all stainless steel bracelet. The watch face is a very beautiful mother of pearl with gold tone and luminous hands. There is a diamond at each of the 12 hours and 18 more diamonds around the bezel for a total of 40. The bezel is a very nice brushed gold tone that has the look of real gold. There are also gold tone accents on the bracelet. The very attractive bracelet has a "hidden" clasp that gives it a very nice endless look. The clasp works securely. The watch face and bezel are approximately 25.00 millimeters. This is large enough to make reading the watch easy and at the same time not being so large that the watch could not be considered a dress watch. It is simply a beautiful watch with a great design that could be worn casually or dress and fit in either case very nicely.

On the technical side this time piece continues to show it's stuff. You can expect accurate time keeping from the quartz movement. This watch uses Citizens "Echo Drive". Which is, a cell that is charged from available light such as the sun and artificial lights. Never needing a battery change and at full charge the watch will run for months in total darkness so it does not have to be worn every day or even every week for that matter. Also, the watch is water resistant to 30 meters. Another important feature of never changing a battery is you never have to "crack" the case on this watch therefore retaining the water resistance. It is rare for even the most high end jewelry stores to have the equipment that is used to test for water resistance and without it you just do not know if the integrity of same has been breached when you change a battery. There is at least a 50/50 if not more chance that it has been when the change is made. You can always send you watch back to the manufacturer to have this done but who wants to go through that time and expense? And, if you do not know for sure do you want to take the chance of dipping your hand in the sink in a moment of forgetfulness with your $300 to $500 watch? All this is not a problem with the citizen echo drive. You can wear your watch with confidence and no worry, keeping accurate time for years to come. OK, what more could you ask for? How about this. This watch comes with a 5 year warranty! Forget the "extended" warranty plans the others offer for extra dollars after a year. This beauty comes warranted for five full years!
