Pita Pizzas

The Bottom Line Family favourite, these are so good, much better than they probably look. ;o)

I promise these are good...I learned how to make them when I was 12 and make them to this day...(16yrs later..gasp) :o)
They sound different and diety, and my mom termed them diet pizza's, but they're really tasty and my husband (another gasp) loves them too.

(For 4)
4 Rounds of pita bread (I like the greek style that doesn't open)
3/4 of cottage cheese (I use light, but take your pick, same with whether you like to drain it or not)
Garlic salt
Oregano
Salt & pepper to taste
Mushrooms, onions (anything else you like, but these two work well for us)
Mozzarella Cheese

First off I preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Mix the cottage cheese with the garlic salt, oregano, salt and pepper to your own taste. I plop a dollop of cottage cheese on each pita round and spread it around. I add the mushrooms and onions (not excessively, just so it tastes good), then top with mozzarella cheese. Put into the oven, until the cheese melts and if you like it brown on top you can flip on the broiler until brown.
Let sit for 5 mins and enjoy.
