I don't remember how I first came across crucial.com but I have purchased RAM from them for both home and work. Their RAM look up took is the best I have ever seen. You can have a very old system or a custom or home built system and the odds are you will be able to locate what types of RAM you can use. For the custom or home built you will need to know your motherboard manufacturer and model. The only problem you might have after using their tool is knowing which of the various choices is correct with your existing RAM if the tool says you have a choice of multiple types of RAM. No more guessing if that is going to be CL 2 or 3 RAM you will be getting. High quality RAM at a fair price. So far not one problem out of approximately 50 ordered for many different systems.
