We decided to book a trip to celebrate my Husband's 50th Birthday to Mexico and looked into the Travel section of Costco.
I had never even thought to book a trip through Costco! However, I bought my Corian Counter through them, why not their Travel Agents.
Go onto Costco.com and hit the Travel tab on their main page. Once the travel page is opened, it is separated by destinations. I had looked at Mexico, and at the time, the prices listed were not in effect for the time I wanted to travel.
However, I just called the toll-free number to speak to a representative. I needed to give them my Costco number and away we went.
The prices offered to the particular trip we were looking for was Hotel only. The representative offered to book our airline tickets and hotel reservations. We had free tickets and only needed hotel. Not a problem.
We booked a trip to The Mayan Riviera at a place called the Aventura Spa Palace. We had priced this out on our own. It's not that Costco can save you money than if you book it yourself, but they give you freebies. With our trip, we received transporation to and from the hotel to the airport, a free snorkel trip to Cozumel and $160 Costco Cash upon our return.
About 3 weeks before our trip, we received all our documentation needed. This came in a bound booklet and included our confirmation to the hotel, a To Hotel Transporation Voucher, a From Hotel Transportation Voucher, our Free Cozumel Voucher, and various other coupons. Also included was a "What You Need to Know" about Mexico. Tips on getting through the airport and avoiding Time Share Scams. All in all a very concise and well informed packet of information.
About 1 week after our return home, in the mail came $160 Costco Cash, as promised.
The staff was professional, informative, and helpful.
