My husband and I recently made a trip to San Antonio, Tx.
Being budget minded, we made online reservations for Motel 6 Northeast on Rittiman Rd (close to where my nephew lives).
We have used Motel 6 while traveling all over the US and never had a bad experience...until this trip.
After we checked in, we drove around to where our room was located. Believe me when I say, the parking lot looked as if there had been a huge party there the night before. We didn't check in very early in the morning...it was 3 PM.
The room was small, as expected. But I do not expect to find holes in the bathroom wall, nor a bathroom door that was basically hanging off the hinges. There was only one towel (mind you, the reservation was for 2 adults)and the pillows were about as thick as a thread-worn sheet.
As we were trying to get settled in, the noise from next door started. There was a baby and a young child staying next door with their parents. As far as noise control was concerned, they might as well have been in the same room.
We had reservations for two nights. The next day, when returned from visiting our relatives, I was surprised to find the bed made, but NOTHING else done!! The tub still had a used washcloth on the edge, the trash was not emptied, and the carpet had not been vacuumed.
I realize that Motel is a "budget motel", but when did budget start meaning NO SERVICE?
I will NEVER go back to that particular Motel 6. I would rather pay extra and get a little more customer service.
