Jo: I never meant to imply that they were, and I never had a problem with the actual exam. The "prep" was as awful as you say. It was nasty tasting stuff.

colonoscopys aren't that bad. The prep is the worst part - just in case you haven't had one and were contemplating it:) jo

Re: I've submitted ... (Reply to this comment)
by ed_grover
If I could figure out where to do it, I'd suggest a write-off. Maybe one could include a review of the awful commercial in a review of the company's web page. You'd have to review the web page or risk the ire of th Epinions police for that category. They'd mark you Off Topic for sure if you didn't, but it could be fun.

America's Greatest Colonscopy's! (Reply to this comment)
by munkus
What, you didn't get to keep the video? In Australia you HAVE to take the video and the doctor keeps one on file so that if you try to sue them later they can show the vid to the court and say "this is what I had to work with".

... entries into three or so of the "about me" w/o's. Of them all this one was the most fun.
Yeah I would like to crack on a few commercials too. That would be loads of laughs. lol

Re: So True? (Reply to this comment)

Ahhh, smarmy ... one of the most delightful words in English, a treasure that sounds exactly like what it means. There's also a noun, smarm, which the American Heritage dictionary says is a backfill. I suppose on the same rationale we could use it as a verb -- and I have. This is a word that deserves a lot more use than it normally gets.

I'm waving madly right back atcha, Ada. I'm glad you put a few dents in the "All About Me" write-off phenom. They should post all that stuff on their profile pages. Thanks for the chance to vent in a creative way.

Toni: Isn't she the pits? Epinions used to have a section where people could review commercials, I wish it was still around as there are lotsa bad ones out there. Thanks for the visit.

Ed, you must have a huge tolerance for the waste of ink and paper, or you're pulling our collective leg. May we suppose your next choices would be Churchward, Velikovsky, Nostradamus, Bush, and Cayce?

::Waving Madly:: Hi, Ed! (Reply to this comment)

Knew you would get the tongue-in-cheek part.
I always see a Huff as something compact and Volkswagony while a Tizzy is an antique (Tin Lizzie?). A High Dudgeon is definitely one of those monster trucks with the oversized wheels. But then I grew up with MAD Magazine and Horrifying Cliches, so I DO get strange mental pictures when people say stuff like "She left in a real Tizzy. (Yeah, I'm strange, but I keep myself amused.)
I promise not to send pictures of my oral surgery if you refrain from sending out .mpgs of you colonoscopy. I haven't had one yet, And I prefer that it remain a surprise.
