Jan 12 '04

The Bottom Line I am a normal guy that is just trying to lighten up and enjoy life as I get older.

THE QUESTIONS:
1. If you had to choose, which would you rather have: herpes, a root canal, a computer virus, a colonoscopy, or a polygraph?

I think a computer virus. The thought of herpes or having to go through another damn root canal doesn’t sound to satisfying to me. I mean, I got braces when I was 14, then had to have my eye teeth surgically pulled with bands or they were going to grow sideways and knock out some of my front teeth. Mom and Dad just didn’t like the idea of a toothless grin I guess.

2. If you could go back in time and do one thing over, what would it be?

I would go back and warn my parents not to get my older brother a motorcycle, because that is how he got killed

3. If you could only have one food item and one drink for every meal for the next month, what would they be?

It better be low carb with me. I can gain weight just looking at a pizza.

4. What do you usually leave in - a Huff? a Tizzy? the bed of a beat-up pickup? a High Dudgeon or a stretch limo? What?

I leave early in a Blazer.

5. You open up a bottle and instead of beer, you get a jjin. Standard three wish deal. What do you wish for? (And the first person who says "World peace" will be tracked down like a dog, eviscerated, and strangled with his/her own intestines. You have been warned.)

A. That I could be youthful forever
B. One billion dollars.
C. A nice chick to marry me. (who won’t marry me for the money, of course)

6. You just inherited/won $1 Billion. What do you do for the next 24 hours?

Before I would invest half of it, setting up a trust fund for my future kids, nephews and living family members, I would travel around the world for a year. I want to visit Europe, and some places in Latin America. I'm of English ancestry so I want to go to England and see my roots!

7. Of all of the voices in your head, which is your favorite?

The one that tells me ‘don’t worry, it will be over soon.’

8. If you could attend your own funeral and give the eulogy, what would you say?

Despite me being unhappy, I would say I had a pretty good life looking back. I had two loving parents who could provide for me. They made me learn how to have confidence in myself, be responsible economically and socially, work hard even when I don’t feel like it, and research and think on my own. I am a man who leads less by emotion as I get older. Matt was a man who was there for others and was willing to fill in for others. Matt could point out the double standards in many issues of our daily life, and was a firm believer in being compassionate, though advocating personal responsibility.

9. Name an actor, performer, talking head, or public figure that you just can't stand.

I can’t stand many of the black leaders! Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakhan. (Read me latest review called: Scam by Jesse Lee Peterson.) I think they truly don’t want to improve race relations in this country. Instead they have made a career out of keeping racial tensions alive. To me they are a black version of the Ku Klux Klan.

10. You are leaving tomorrow for a 6-week stay in the 12th century. What do you pack?

I would pack me some guns, ammunition, running shoes, lots of clean water, a coat, toothbrush and toothpaste, holsters, a gun bag, fresh food and the likes. I better be ready the kill someone and protect myself, right? I mean, this is the Middle Ages were talking about.

11. Name something small that really annoys you.

I get annoyed with my Uncle’s Chiuaua. She’s cute, but her barking gets on my nerves very quickly. Also, I have to look every, single time I walk, since she is so small. She is so small that my whole foot would cover her. I love dogs, but I am worried about here safety because I am not use to having to look every single time and every single place I walk in my apartment.

12. What's the bravest thing you have ever done?

Hmmm…I moved out here to Denver on my own and am being self sufficient. It was scary at first, being that I am from a small town, but I got used to it.

13. What is the dumbest thing you have ever done?
Locking my keys in my car-here’s the story: In high school I worked at Village Inn Pancake House, the midnight shift. The boss asked me to go fetch some ice cream or something. I drove around town from grocery store, but most were closed even in my town. I was so excited that I saw one open but when I got out, they were cleaning up inside. ’ Then I went to my car, pulled the handle and it wouldn’t open. I got freaked out, probably more freaked out than that kid on Stand By Me when the train was coming for them. I said, ‘Ah, F(u)ck! Luckily my house was only three blocks from where I lived.

14. What assumptions do people make about you that are wrong?

Sometimes people assume I will be unreliable or they think I can’t hack it, but after they get to know me, they start to trust me more and have more confidence in my ability.

15. If you had a building named after you, what would be in it?

A warm bed, pictures of libertarians, and quotes from them.

16. It is the year 2024. What kind of computer are you using?

Probably one that will drive my car for me!

17. When your pet looks at you, what is it thinking?

“Can I go on a car ride with you?” I feel guilty and say, “Oh, pleeeeeease don’t look at me like that. I’ll take you on a ride later, OK.? Not now, I gotta go.”

18. If you were forced to move to another country, where would you go?

Hmmmm. Canada.

19. Okay, 'fess up. What did you do that made it necessary to move to another country?

Canada is closer to America and there aren’t religious/political dictatorships like there are in other countries. Plus Terrance and Phillip are there!

20. Zen space. Make up a question and provide your own answer.

Why do you get nervous? Don’t you know FEAR stands for, “False Evidence Appearing Real’?
