Bret and Janine said pretty much all of it. While the product itself is the most important part of your review, Customer Service is also important. You may want to consider writing about the product itself first, then follow that up with your experience with it, including customer service. This makes for a much more powerful review as it lets the reader know that you know what you are talking about rather than just going off on a rant.

but I wanted to leave some tips on how to decide what to include in a hardware review. Think about the types of questions you have when you try to decide what system to buy. Customer support is important but you probably care about the features like how much memory, how many bays, the type of connectors, how easy it is to expand the box, etc. and think about these before you think about customer service.

Welcome to Epinions. I see this is your first review. Many of us here wrote our first reviews to warn people away from a product or service. Based on your experience, it sounds like this Gateway is one to avoid.
The slow Internet connection could have been a problem with the modem, or with the provider. Regardless, the problems you mention should have been attended to by Gateway. I hope you have much better luck with your next computer.
I hope you will write other reviews of products you like or dislike. It's nice to know you are helping others by telling about your experiences. I would encourage you to put a little more detail in your reviews, though, so that they will get higher ratings.
