I bought this product because we own black stoneware dishes, and hard water causes a build up of white residue making the dishes look dirty and scratched. We used the product as recommended, filling the large closing dishwasher compartment, for about 4 consecutive washes. Lemi Shine is a 15.5 oz. bottle of fine crystals. It has a very fresh, lemony (obviously) scent. After one wash, I could see a difference in my dishes. I now use it every time I run the dishwasher, but I put it into the small (without a lid) compartment, and fill the closing compartment with my regular detergent. My black dishes are not only spotless, but a lot of the scratches made by forks/knives have disappeared. My silverware is always gleaming. The dishwasher itself is immaculate, and smells great while it's running. My husband (not having caught on to my secret) has run the dishwasher without Lemi Shine, and I can tell as soon as I take out a dish, because they're just not as shiny. I haven't even used my Jet Dry in a while, because Lemi Shine does such an excellent job. I recently re-read the label, and found that you can mix Lemi Shine and water in a spray bottle and use it for other areas of the house, such as bathrooms (shower doors w/ build-up). I can't wait to try that!

In conclusion, I would highly recommend this product for anyone! If you have hard water, it is excellent. If you have black or scratched dishes, it is amazing. If you want your silverware to gleam or your dishwasher to run better and smell great, this product is for you. I bought it at Wal-Mart for about $4.00, but I have seen it at Giant as well. Just using the small amount it takes to fill the little dishwasher compartment does a fantastic job, and the bottle will last through many (15-20?) washes. I have told my entire family and my friends about this amazing product. Lemi Shine, where have you been all my dishwashing life?
